Zorig Chusum often referred to as ''The Painting School ''; this institution offers a six year course on the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. Traditional art forms are strongly influenced by Buddhism and are ornamental and symbolic in nature. Traditionally Zorig Chusum (meaning the 13 traditional crafts) was conducted in the Dzongs, Monasteries and Royal Palaces, having been nurtured over the centuries by Bhutan''s clergy and temporal rulers. View the intricate Thangkha paintings, woodwork and sculpture, some of the students unique artworks are displayed for sale on premise.
